Stress-Be-Gone at Progressions
First, since we’re talking about whole-body wellness, we’d be remiss not to mention our Stress-Be-Gone Experience. Stressors, worry, and anxiety all produce muscle tension. It’s your body’s natural response. But no matter where you feel the stress—your muscles, through fatigue or moodiness or in your digestive tract—massages can help to relieve these symptoms and eliminate that negative energy from your life.
Our Stress-Be-Gone Experience addresses the neck, shoulders, arms, hands and back in a beautifully relaxing way. The service takes place in our quiet spa room, which oftentimes feels like a world away from the salon. In the spa room, you’ll engage in warmth, serenity and relaxation. Stress-Be-Gone is offered as a standalone service or as an add-on.
Get into shape at Soldier Fit
Soldier Fit, an indoor, 10,000-square foot facility, recently opened up next to us. Soldier Fit was founded by a war veteran, and focuses on a variety of workouts incorporating strength, cardiovascular endurance and core training. In addition, Soldier Fit offers personal and athletic training. The gym is open seven days a week and allows their members to use their other locations as well. (The Rockville location is their sixth.) If the whole family is getting on-board, they even offer a children’s fitness program.

Reach almost-nirvana at Nava
Feeling unwell, tired, lost or rundown? The Nava Health & Vitality Center offers direction and healing through a blend of Eastern and Western wellness techniques. If you feel “blah” during the week, (not just on Mondays) are tired throughout the day, and lack energy or motivation, you could probably benefit from their services.
Nava works with doctors, therapists and health experts to help their clients achieve optimal health. They don’t work to relieve the symptoms, but instead work to find the underlying cause and address the problem itself. It’s a thorough course of treatment that is wildly different and successful.
Stand the cold for the benefits
At Thrive Cryo Studio, they use cold air to heal. It’s known as Cool Air Therapy and basically, it stimulates everything inside of you to get the good going and the bad out. You’re only exposed to the cold for a few minutes and the results are a natural, healthy healing process. Medically speaking, the cold temps stimulate thermoreceptors in the skin, which in turn activates a central nervous system response. This helps to circulate blood flow throughout your vital organs.
