As Progressions Salon Spa Store celebrates 41 years of beauty, growth, and community, we proudly honor three incredible women who have helped shape who we are today.
Vanessa has been with us since the beginning—an extraordinary 40-year journey. Her love for beauty began in high school when cosmetology was offered as an elective. “All my friends were doing it,” she recalls. “I took the class, and I loved it!” Vanessa’s favorite part of her job? “Meeting new people. I also love the variety of services I offer,” she says. Her advice for the next generation is simple: “Patience. Be willing to hear what clients have to say about their hair—their concerns and what they like. Stay open.”
Gaby, our Operations Manager of 12 years, also discovered her passion early on. “I always loved beauty and makeup,” she says. “Cosmetology was an option in school, so I was all in!” Now Gaby works behind the scenes blending creativity with strategy. “I love what I learned in school and how I can apply it to the back end of the business—seeing how service providers and the data all connect together. We’re mutually dependent on one another for success.” She believes it’s all about passion. “If you’re interested and love it, then the work and effort are worth it.”
Ruth, a stylist of 9 years, was inspired by her sister Silvia, a long-time Progressions team member. “Silvia cut my bangs as a kid,” she shared. “She was a great example to follow!” Ruth can guarantee one thing: “It doesn’t matter how a client may come in—they always leave happier.”
