We’re reblogging this great article from Salon Today magazine, which gives a shout-out to the Progressions team members who volunteer their time and talents to help the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless and to help uplift and empower its shelter residents with professional haircuts and grooming. Our team members go above and beyond for their guests every day, and it truly touches our heart to see them giving up their free time to do the same for those in need in our community.
Progressions Salon Lends A Hand To The Homeless
Progressions Salon Spa Store in Rockville, Maryland, was honored to participate in the annual fundraiser for Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless held on April 21, 2016, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Over 400 members of the local community attended the benefit to promote the end of veteran homelessness in Montgomery County.
The gala raised over $209,000 for MCCH allowing the organization to continue providing the best of support to the community’s most vulnerable neighbors in need. MCCH’s mission is to end homelessness in Montgomery County by building a community where everyone has a safe, stable and affordable place to call home.
As a sponsor, the Progressions team volunteered to sell tickets during the event, along with donating to the evening’s silent auction. “It’s always such a pleasure working with the caring individuals at Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless,” says Cindy Feldman, owner and founder of Progressions salon spa store. “Our stylists continue to volunteer each month cutting men’s hair at MCCH’s Home Builders Care Assessment Center in Rockville.”
